It is about a boy, James who get possession of boiled crocodile tongues. Then a giant peach starts to grow in the garden. James then meets the lady bug, grasshopper, spider and many more friends along the way.  The reasoning for the book being banned was because Mrs. Spider licks her lips, which can be taken in two ways. One which could be taken sexually. Which was not intended at all. Children are losing the fun of the whole book and the adventures they all have together along the way.
